My partner was just commenting last night (after deciding, on the spur of
the moment, to make lemon scones from scratch) that we have so much more time now than we did when we watched TV, and we do so much more. To be fair, there still are never enough hours in the day,
and there's always more we want to do, but the amount that we are
doing has just slowly, silently, effortlessly increased.
